so i'm finally looking into picking up a console and maybe a decent LCD screen.
i've checked gmarket but they wanted over 300,000 won for the xbox arcade..seems a little high to me.
how much are ps3s and xboxes running nowadays? |

400k is about average for a 120gb ps3.
if you pick up a game as well, you could get a slight discount.
i got a ps3 and super street fighter for 410,000 |

Seems high to me. Maybe they were giving you the price for one that'll be modded?
http://search.danawa.com/dsearch.php?tab=Main&k1=xbox+360&x=0&y=0&module=goods&act=dispMain
Showing 370,000 for the elite 360 with three games pkg(I'd personally go for that), or 230,000 for the arcade. If you are not planning on modding it, you might want to consider the ps3 over the 360. I have two 360s, but the first(modded one), I think, has finally died. If you are planning on modding it, the 360 beats the ps3, hands down.
The only other thing you may want to consider is this...

...but looks like Korean vendors may not be selling any of that until they get rid of some of the rest(wouldn't surprise me if you've got to wait another six months before you can get your hands on one here). |

I'm not sure how they managed that...
(Current Danawa Prices)
New Wii -- 220K
At least a 320GB external harddrive -- 80K+
(I had trouble getting over 120 games on mine...so maybe more expensive 500GB)
extra controller with nunchuck -- 42K
motion 25Kx2 = -- 50K
Total = -- ~400K
So...they are taking a 30-40K loss and giving a free softmod and making the effort to install a shipload of games. Very generous of them. |

| Does the Wii have 170 full games? Surely some of those are old games from gamecube etc. |

The Wii most certainly has more than 170 games. 170 games worth playing is an entirely different issue. This page lists over 600.

| How big are those Wiiware games? Pretty simple aren't they? I guess a lot of those might only appeal to certain people. |

| "The world of goo" is a wiiware (and other download services) game and is better than a lot of standard titles. |

It's not a loss when you bought the products wholesale. The prices you list is what customers get them for. If that's what the seller gets it for also then they wouldn't be making any profit.
