| My husband and I are leaving for South Korea shortly on an E2 Visa...the contract is only for 6 months and airfare isn't provided. We want to stay in Korea after the 6 months to get a better job but do we have to fly back to America after the 6 months and reapply for a visa with the Korean cunsultant AGAIN? Or can we find another job after the 6 months and not go back to America? If we have to fly back to America we are thinking about waiting for a better job to open up. Please send me your advice! |

You should be able to extend/transfer your the visa at the 6 month mark.
My question is, how did you get an E-2 on a 6 month contract? Maybe I'm dumb, but I thought it required a 1 year contract.
Anyway, even if you do have to get a new visa, you could just go to Japan, Guam, etc. |
