|
|
I woke last night to a couple mogi bites. Annoying. I keep a fan going (helps) & generally cover up in bed. Nets strike me as total overkill here & coils make me nauseous.
I never scratch, just seems like bad policy. A dab of saliva seems to alleviate things a bit. But then I started thinking, whats an itch?
Its not painful. Is it possible to throw over all our conditioning & get behind it as a pleasant little stimulation? I was working on that thought when sleep overtook me again & I finished my night with nice dreams.
Stupid thread, sorry. Or maybe not. |

I get 2 or 3 cm welts, and, if I get enough of the toxins in my bloodstream, hives.
I'll stick to playing electrified mogi tennis and sleeping with a net. |

It's the saliva, but some people react more strongly than others. I used to be less allergic, but ever since a really bad attack 3 years ago (I looked like I had the chicken pox!) I've had a really strong reaction to bites.
Some people say that this stuff doesn't work, but I swear by Avon's Skin So Soft spray. I hardly ever get bites. |

Clean them with rubbing alcohol as soon as you get them and they go away. |

They typically don't even wake me up so I'm cool with mosquitoes. I just kill them when I see them. |

One night my husband woke me up by jumping on the bed and hissing "you little bitch! I'll kill you!"
He was armed with a fly swat and was trying to catch a mozzie lurking on the ceiling (which had just bitten him).
Edit: or was it "die you bitch, die!" Something along those lines, anyway. |

I can handle the bites.
It's the buzzing in my ear as I'm trying to sleep that I seriously CAN'T handle! |

Where can I buy this? Is it easy to find?
Like you, I have really bad reactions, and I'm willing to try anything. |

I brought it from home, but you could have someone order it and mail it to you. My grandma introduced me to the stuff years ago at her mountain house. |
