Hello all,
In a matter of 2-3 months I'll get my Master's title in Aerospace engineering.
That's right. I'll be a Rocketscientist!!!!
Right now, I'm finishing my thesis as junior rocketscientist (BSc only). As my girlfriend is stationed here I'm looking for something to do after school and while I'm sure I could get a job teaching english I thought I'd try to use my degree for something. Have all those years mean something and all.
So I'm looking for something around Seoul, preferably a foreign company, that has R&D/engineering type activities.
Or a site/institution that deals with compiling all the jobs of this kind.
The foreign company because my Korean just isn't up to scratch and I'm susceptible to guild trips and I don't want to work from 08:00 - 22:00. |

If Dave's ESL is the extent of your Aerospace Engineering Networking circle, then you might need to seek better advice on how to conduct a job search.
Come on, man...you're playing pin the needle on the donkey in zero gravity with the pin pointing the wrong way. |

Did you go to a Tier 1 University?
If you did, I wouldn't waste my time in Korea. My friend got his Aerospace Engineering Bachelor's at Virginia Tech, and now he works in Washington DC for a Northrup Grumman. His job is working on improving Sidewinder Missiles. He regularly goes up in an F-16 as a passenger watches things get blown up with missiles for his project.
Work for Defense Contracting companies. Have those companies invest in your Top Secret Clearance. Once you are cleared for Top Secret, the world is your oyster. You will be valuable to companies all across the USA. |

Indeed!
What are you doing on an ESL-TEFL board looking for information on work as an Aerospace engineer? |

BAD news for you is that until you actually have that M.Sc/M.Eng in your hot little hand that unless you are F2/F4 you don't qualify for a work visa in your "area of expertise".
Choices are:
a) join the unwashed horde of English teachers.
b) get a job flipping burgers or cooking chicken on base in the PX.

| In college all my friends were AAE majors and were the biggest pot smokers you'd ever want to meet. Are you a doper?!? |

Still doesn't get you past immigration.
To get your visa (Special Occupation(E-7)) you need that shiny new masters degree in your hot little hand (in addition to a couple years of experience).
You may also want to look at the requirements for:
Research(E-3),
Technology Transfer(E-4),
