Done a search and couldn't find much info.

A friend and I are heading to Busan this wednesday on a short trip for a couple of days.

Just wondering if anybody could recommend a cool area of the city that we could stay in, with some nightlife and some reasonably priced motels to stay in? A recommendation for a specific motel would be awesome... preferably one with a comp in the room, but doesnt matter too much.

thanks guys, any help appreciated Smile

Kyungsung Uni area (see satellite map below) is a good area for nightlife. Clubs like Vinyl Underground, Ghetto, Kino Eye are worth checking out if you like dancing with other foreigners and koreans.

All-korean clubs tend to be crap.

Lots of Motels can be found one subway stop away from there...around Dayeon station (Green Line 2). See map below...

Friday night at the LZone in Kyungsung is also nice for chatting up ladies. It is a language school that doubles as a bar at night. 10 000 Won entry on Friday = one free drink and unlimited Cass. Good times and also a nice place to start off the weekend. Another good place to put up for the night is Ocheonjang Station area. It is also has the so-called "biggest spa in Asia" in the area that is well worth the visit for a soak. Haeundae also has some half decent love motels and nightlife in the area if you are into the clubbin. Maktum, Elune, and Murpii are all right. There are also a pretty good collection of bars in the area, but the price for drinks is nowhere near as cheap as in Kyungsung. If you are looking for good day time hangover walks, Jalgachi fish market, Nampo-dong market, and laying on Songjeong beach are well worth it.
