Its been an amazing year! I have had a semi decent school, so I havent had any crushing disappointments or stress living here.

However I am contemplating now what to do. I am going home for awhile. 2 - 3 months maybe. I dont have a fixed time limit. However I am wondering what to do if I want to come back. I do want a new school but since I dont know when im coming back then it kinda makes it hard to set something up for my return.

I know I should basically get something set up for 2 months time or so, but I dont want an approaching deadline hanging over my head. When I get fed up with home, thats when I will start looking for a job for my final tour of duty in korea.

So what I am saying is, do I look for schools at home or should I start looking for schools while I am still here but in the knowledge of not knowing when I am coming back?

Who knows, I might not come back at all.

GRRR

Well, I did the same thing. I worked for a year and then I went back home for about 4 months. I think that it would be extremely difficult to set something up way in advance because Koreans never think that far ahead. They want you when THEY want you...not when you want to return. So, your best bet is to keep an eye out for a job while you are back home. Obviously wait out the three months and then assess things. You'll find that the jobs are a lot tougher to get back there and that you'll miss the easy money to be made in Korea as well as the free apartment. I sure did. But now I'm back and happy to be here.

Originally, I came here on vacation -- three months before starting work. I had three interviews lined-up that were serious. I took one of them and came back to work 3 months later.

It can be done, so you may as well try!
