|
|
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience extending their contract half a year as opposed to the full year. My wrangler is saying it can't be done because GEPIK regulations state they do not do this but considering my contract finishes mid semester I thought it a good option for both parties.
Has anyone had any luck extending their contract for anything under a full year term?
Thanks in advance!

Of course, it's possible and logical. It's just that logic and decisions dont go together here. You can ask and explain and rationalize, but ultimately they are probably going to turn you down. This is because some bureaucratic twit decided they should only renew for whole-year deals without considering that it might make more sense and actually save them money to let teachers extend for partial years as long as the extension coincides with the end of a semester. |
