Hey!
I'm wondering what the easiest and cheapest way to get my money back to the US.
The options I know are:
Closing my account at KB, exchanging into USD and then bringing the cash with me on the plane.
Making a wire transfer to my US account. Does anyone know the fee for the wire transfer from KB bank? Is it simple/ easy to do this? Or would I lose a significant amount of $?
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help/ insight. |

Wire transfer will cost you somewhere between $20-50 depending on the banks involved .
It is not just the fee for sending it from here but the extra fees if there needs to be an interim bank and the acceptance fee by your bank.
I have never known a bank wire to be more than $50 to the states and many are as low at $20-25.
Taking Cash won't cost you anything - just make sure your pocket/wallet is secure.

Put your cash into money orders. I believe they can be up to $1000 dollars. Each bank is different i'm sure. I send my money home using an insured money order. I mail it directly to my bank manager and he deposits it. No fees. No hassle. |
