My friend asked me to post the following:
I am a British national teaching English in South Korea and have been for the past 6 years.
I received notice from my co-teacher that applicants whose stay in Korea ends subsequent to September 1st 2010 must submit "And officially certified diploma when applying for extension of stay and change of workplace." My E2 visa will expire on Sept 24th and then I will be looking to get a new E2 for my next job.
It also states that -
"For official certification, an applicant must submit his or her own diploma with an apostille from his or her government."
My degree is already apostiled, but not by the UK govt, but by a local public notary.
So do I now have to get my Degree cert apostilled by the UK GOVT? If so, can I come to the British Embassy / Consulate in Seoul to have this done
Is this true? If so, can anyone answer my friend's question? |
