|
|
As the title suggests, I need a dog friendly hotel in seoul on the cheap. It is a medium size dog (large by korean standards, but absolutely silent). Looking for about 5 nights from Aug 25 to Aug 31st.
Any and all help is appreciated. Please try to include addresses and contact info if you know of a place.
Thanks. |

OculisOrbis, I don't have any answers for you, but I am watching this thread... as I am looking for any "dog friendly" advice about Korea, myself.
I want to teach in Korea but will NOT go without my 2 pugs... and every thread I search in this forum advises against bringing dogs (reasons: the apartments don't allow them, or are too small for them, or the floors are all wood and they will drag in dirt and mud constantly, with no bathtubs to wash them in... etc.). |

Actually, I would also advise not bringing your pets to korea. It really isnt a pet friendly place and the speed at which your work situation can sour, it can make it much more difficult to deal with when you have your pet to consider.
I'm actually just checking around for a friend who has dog and needs a place to stay for a week while between jobs but has had no success in the search for one- just one of hassles of having a pet here. |

I was hoping the title was about hotels nearby with a 매춘부 or two around.... |

Could your friend leave the dog at a dog cafe? There's one in Hongdae on the main street that a friend of mine used before... she left her dog there for a week while she was attending SMOE orientation.
Then your friend could just stay in a motel or hotel nearby and check in on the dog whenever they wanted. |

| Thanks, but there is some trust issues (she doesn't) so the dog must remain with her. |

| Is this person with the dog moving here? While I disagree that it's not a good place to have a dog( I think my dog has a great quality of life here), if your friend is just moving to the country and has trust issues with pet hotels, then they will be chained to where they are living as pet friendly lodgings and such seem to be difficult to find. I live in a smallish city, and we have found a great pet hospital where two vets speak English. We leave our dog there once in awhile when we go on vacation, and I have found it to be quite satisfactory. I wouldn't want to have a dog here if I didn't trust others to care for it once and awhile. |

She lives here, she'll just be between residences for a week.
I agree that its a not terrible place for your pet, but it can make your quick changing issues here much more difficult to deal with (like where you can stay for week between jobs, if your suddenly fired or quit, public transportation if you dont have a car, vacations - repeatedly dumping it on others while you go and have fun, etc - not to mention potential neighbor and/or landlord issues). For someone who isnt in korea yet, I do not recommend bringing your pet with you - you have no idea whether your situation will be good or bad until youve been here for a little while. If someone insists on bringing their pet, I recommend coming here alone first, getting settled and then having it sent over. |

| Ask your vet, he/she might be able to house it for a few days and itll be much cheaper than a hotel. |

| Have you considered finding a vet. That you can leave your dog with for the day. Find a vet that can board the animal near where you want to stay. |
