Hello all! I recently posted my resume online and got contacted by Sunny from ESL World and would like to know if anyone knew how good/honest they are?
I know people have varying degrees of love/hate for every recruiting company, but I haven't heard anything about ESL World and would like to ensure that they're at least legitimate. Using the search function is hard because people refer to "the ESL World" literally on this board very often, so the searching for the company is difficult.
Thanks for any information! |

I went with ESL World last year (not Sunny though, someone called Tracey).
I hated the school I ended up with, but I expect that was largely my fault for being an overeager newbie and not reading the contract carefully enough, and my boss's fault for being a horrible slavedriver. I had no issue with ESL World- as far as I can recall everything was represented pretty accurately and they came to the school after four or five months to check up on me. |

Wow, I didn't think I'd actually get a response! I appreciate the info a lot.
Sorry to hear you didn't have a good time at the school, may I ask which one/where it was? I'll definitely be careful about the school, I'm just glad the recruiters seem decent enough.
Again, thank you very much! |

I assume you made it through the contract though along with all of the pay. That's the most important aspect of the job. |
