I heard that the US Army has a Church in Itaewon, and I have heard that Korean people can go to their worship services (Sunday services).
I am hoping to take my 8 y.o. son there on Sundays so he can chat in English and learn things there.
Does anybody else go? and what do I have to do if I am not a military person, but would like to attend their church?
Is any body allowed to attend, including Koreans and how would I find out the contact details or instructions on how to go there etc.
Any knowledgable people would be helpful. Thanks |

The US Army has a chapel on the base and various services are held there for the military community. To attend one of those services, you'd need to have a member of the military community escort you onto the base.

You definitely need a serviceperson to sign you onto the base. However, there are plenty of English-language church services all around Seoul where you and your son would be able to attend without any problem. I go to the English mission of the Anglican church, which is right next to the English Embassy and Seoul City Hall. There's a small Sunday School program and a wonderfully diverse congregation of English-speaking Koreans and foreigners from all over the world. But like I said, there are plenty of English-speaking church services in/around Seoul, and I'm sure there is more information about them on this message board somewhere. |
