|
|
Hi,
I was hoping to buy bus tickets for this weekend ahead of time, but my local station doesn't go to my destination, so I'll have to get a bus from Dong Seoul. I know you can buy tickets in advance from the departing bus station, but does anyone know if I can get tickets in advance for the Dong Seoul terminal from another station (Seongnam in particular)?
Thanks for the info. |

No, but you can take a bus from Seongnam/Bundang to one of the three designated Highway Rest Area Transfer Points and proceed to your destination which could not have been served directly from Seongnam.
Which Rest Area to go to depends on the region you're heading towards, say,
Seonsan Rest Area for the southeast - Daegu/Busan/Pohang/Ulsan/etc.
Jeongan Rest Area for the southwest - Jeonju/Iksan/Gwangju/Mokpo/etc.
HwungSung Rest Area for the east - Gangneung/Donghae/Samcheok/Sokcho
http://www.kobus.co.kr/web/eng/02_service/service01.jsp is the website you can look up schedules.
If you see two different code numbers for an identical rest area, the smaller number is for 'from the Capital Area (hence southbound or eastbound)' and the larger number is the opposite direction 'to the Capital Area (hence northbound or westbound)'. |

"Can I get bus tickets at Any Station?"
Not sure if you can buy them at Any Station, but perhaps Kwanjuchicken will have more detailed information about that.
He seems particularly interested in this elusive Any topic.

I don't know if it's possible to buy a ticket leaving from Seoul in Seongnam, but you can buy it very easily online.
