| My husband and I got offered a job and were ready to send out our documents to GKI International when Brian Chung decided to fill our positions! We rearraged our honeymoon plans and everything to get out early for this guy, so now we are stuck with flight tickets for our honeymoon and no job in South Korea. We decided that we wanted to fly out to Korea anyway but I just found out that we can only get 90 days over there and they send us back. So even if we get a job we have to come back to the states to apply for an E2 visa. Is this right? If we go out there do we have to come back? Should we wait? Please, any advice that you can give us would be wonderful! |

| Personally I would try to avoid the Visa headache and added expense of coming to Korea with no job and just apply to other positions like crazy and try to secure a position before coming. I'm not sure how hard it is to find a position for couples but since you have all your documents ready to go recruiters will definitely prefer you guys over people that are still getting their docs together. When were you supposed to come by the way? |

| There are so many shady recruiters and schools in Korea. Nothing is set in stone until you are in Korea and everything is signed, and even then you have to be on guard. OP, can you apply for another position at another school? |

| I feel like I'm beating this horse dead, but if you're American it's not difficult to apply in Korea and fly to Guam (American soil) to get it completed. A school will pay for your flight to Guam as the first leg of your promised round trip ticket. If you can afford to live in Korea for a little while without a job, this is likely easier than going all the way home. That said, it might be a bit tough finding two jobs that are very close together again. |
