I know there are a couple great secondhand stores for furniture in Haebangcheon, but don't know where they are. I'm thinking delivery will be cheaper (free??) if it is in the same neighborhood.

I'll be needing a bed, a desk, and a dresser, some lamps, as well as some other miscellanious things. I like craigslist, but big things i figure we'll need something that could be delivered.

Anyone know where these stores are? I'm quassi-familliar with the area, so something like 'accross from Jacobee burger' would be fine.

Thanks for any help.

There's a second hand place across BanPo Ro (the big one), up the hill towards Gyeongnidan. It's on the same side of the street as Noxa, the Reuben place, the burger joint, across the street from the Korean Army Building and the church, down a small alley on your left.

I think it says "Salvation Army" but I don't know if that sign is still there. It's a bit of a rip off though.

okay... somewhat familliar but not that familliar. I don't know BanPo Ro, or pretty much any landmark mentioned. Maybe it's a different of Haebangcheon than i know?

More 'lost person' friendly instructions?

OK if you walk from Haebangchon to the subway station at Noksapyeong, that big street you hit at the kimchi pots is Ban Po Ro (ro is road). The Haebangchon street and the Gyeongnidan street angle into Banpo at roughly the same point. Take the ped underpass to get to the Gyeongnidan street, start walking up that street. That's where the Salvation Army store is near. Across from the church, same side as Noxa, the reuben place and the Philly steak place. Best I can do, directions are tough to give in a country that is de facto without street names and addresses.

Do anyone know a different one? It's true that the one place in this thread is kind of a rip-off, though the 5000 won delivery makes up for that a lot.
