Hi all,
I am new to this, so i thought i would start with an easy question (hopefully) Smile
I am moving to Jeju in August as part of Epik, and although i am very excited, i am panicking a little bit on what to bring with me, such as clothes, accessories etc.
I am also a qualified scuba diver, and was wondering if anyone could recommend places to dive whilst i'm there, and maybe some things to do.
Thanks Laughing

For diving you want to go with Ralf at Big Blue 33 in Seogwipo on the south side of the island. Ralf's been in business for a little over 8 years or so and has (literally) thousands of dives in and around Seogwipo. I can't think of a better guide (or instructor if you are wanting to upgrade). Ralf is German, but fluent in English.

There is some very good diving in Seogwipo

HI Guys,
That sounds good. I have contacted the scuba place and got a really nice reply from them, so i will hopefully be popping in to see them when i get to Jeju. It's sounds really nice and relaxing to be honest which is cool.

Looking forward to it Very Happy

When in August will you be getting to Jeju? Are you going to be living in Jeju-shi or Seogwipo? I dive with Ralf every weekend (literally, and during the week sometimes), so we'll probably run into each other. PM if you want any details about Jeju. Smile

I should be getting to Jeju the middle of August Smile I am very excited. I spoke to the dive shop and they were great, so i think that will be my first stop.
I have no idea which bit i will be living in, i know nothing! Very Happy Of course you will see me around.

I don't live in Jeju, but I will recommend you bring a few very important things with you.

-deoderant
-bug spray (skin so soft by avon is best)
-cough drops/cold meds (like Sudafed)
-spices

If you are a woman:
-plenty of skirts. Pants are not the norm here.
-"shawls" or "cover-ups"... cardigans! http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod2270006&categoryId=cat60038&FLCat=cat60036&addFacet=1002:cat60038
BRING LOTS if you have tanktop style blouses
-tampons/pads are easy to find but I recommend this: http://www.divacup.com/
-makeup from home, as the stuff here is too dark
-flats... no need for heels except maybe special occasions. You'll be wearing slippers in class. Bring your own pair of "indoor shoes" if you have a larger shoe size than 7.

There are tons more things, but they are all in the FAQs. Smile Good luck to you! If I were to resign, I think I'd go to Jeju as well.

Hey, great to hear that you're coming over! Seogwipo is very nice! The oranges and (sort of) grapefruit rock!! Enjoy diving there! (I've only dove on Boracay, but one day I'll take the plunge into Jeju!) Have fun!!
