|
I got my theory test all done, so now i need to pass the whole obstacle course bit and then complete the road test.
Anyone done this in Busan without speaking korean or having a korean friend in your car with you. I live near gwangju, but next week i have vacation, so i figured id just hit busan up and try and get it all done while ive got some time to myself. Any recommendations? |

its an easy process.
Just head to your local driving agency, fill out the forms, pay a bit of cash to register and sign up. Then you get your eye test and its on to the next step. They sign you up for the theory test.
Best thing to do is just get a copy from home. My DVLA in jeollanamdo didnt have any books. I used the US military thing, but it was all but useless. Lucky i spent an age reading up for a theory test in the UK so could answer the questions. Most were hazard perception type questions (and standard right of way/who's at fault etc) type questions.
Of course i may have been unlucky and got a random test that had nothing about road signs or fines, but really it wasnt that hard if you just use your common sense and pick the safest of all the alternatives. (including hazards from driving inappropriately of course).
Anyway, when you go for your theory test, you watch a 1 hour safety lecture, then complete the test on touch screen computers.
If you pass its step 3.
You then do a set number of hours teaching you to ride an artificial course located at yoru driving centre. Thats the step im at. A driving hagwon will teach you TO THE TEST. That is, you wont necesarily be learning good safe driving skills, youll just be learning how to pass that test.
Once you pass that, you then have to do some road lessons. About 15 is recommended i believe.
You then pop back to your driving centre and take a test with a policeman assessing your ability.
Pass that, and youre done.
Im pretty sure thats it. |
