My friend and I want to go to a water park in next weekend before summer is over and I was wondering what good water parks there are around Seoul. Neither of us drive so we would need to either take a bus or the subway.
I have heard of Ocean World but do not know anything about it. |

| Carribean Bay is next to Everland in Yongin. It's expensive, but I enjoyed myself. Be aware, though, that the more thrilling rides may have hours long waits if you're there during the weekend and the weather's nice. |

In Bucheon there is Tiger World and Waterjoy.
Waterjoy is on top of the bus terminal.
Tigerworld is indoors. Tiger World also has an indoor ski slope, driving range
I've never been to either, however. I don't what they are like. |

I went to Waterjoy last week. I was disappointed.
There was one hot pool, one cold pool, one slide just for kids, and 1 more slide but it was closed. Then there was a tube ride with rapids. it was pretty good but the water was less than 3 feet deep and they insisted on wearing a lifejacket, which you have to rent for 5,000 won.
The whole thing was a money grab and highly disappointing. If you go to Yeouido, there is an outdoor pool for about 5,000 won but you'll likely get burnt.

going to Oceanworld is easy. You just need to turn up at Exit 1, Sports Complex station (line 2) in the morning and buy a ticket for the bus that has all the ocean world stickers on it. I think it probably leaves at 8:30am, because I always see it at 8am on my way to work.
There must be a similar bus for Caribbean Bay. Maybe leaving from Jamsil? |

Ocean World and Caribbean Bay are the 2 biggest water parks. I like Ocean World better. The wave pool there has 8 foot waves, pretty fun. The only bad thing is that you WILL have to wait at least an hour or more to go on any of the fun slides. Two weeks ago the wait was over 2 hours at Ocean World.
The Ocean World buses that you see are free, but you must reserve them in advance. If you do a search on this week site, it will tell you all the info you need.
