| Can anyone tell me anything about Banji Elementary in Pyeongtaek, or offer any advice about the city in general? |

I think there is a big US army base in Pyeongtaek.
Wouldn't like to live there myself, if that's the case. |

Pyeongtaek seems just like your average city in Korea. Nothing particulary good or bad about it. It's quite far form Seoul but you could certainly go there during the weekend. I'd say it takes an hour and a half.
Songtan is where the military base is. It's 2 stops away I think. Good place for foreign food and taking drink. I don't think many of the military personnel go into Pyeontaek city as such.
Suwon is also not too far away. I also think Pyeongtaek has a decent foreigner community. |

There is a U.S Army base close to Pyeongtaek. you can take the 20 bus to get there from the station.
It's USAG Humphreys. By my experiences having been stationed at "The Hump" it's much tamer than Itaewon. |
