| Just looking for any info on this topic. Just straight surfing, not wind/kite. I know its centered around Jungmun. Is it a little surf community around there with shops/rentals etc. ? |

THe only thing I can tell you mate is that I was on that beach once, and there were about 12 people on the beach total on a beautiful day, and one luck guy was out in the surf scoring wave after wave.
The waves were nothing compared to a good reef break in Hawaii or Indonesia . . but considering the lack of crowd I was very jealous of what the guy was surfing.
It was in 2005, so there may be more of a crowd by now so don't quote me, but overall it seemed decent. |

As far as I know there is no surf shop down in Jungmun but I rarely go there so I could be wrong.
I take it you wanna rent a board? |

I don't have my hopes up over the quality of Korean surf but if it's there I'd give it a go.
So, yes, I would be looking to rent some gear. |

I don't know of any board rental places unfortunately.
Try asking at "rhymeswithjeju". You may find answers there. |

| Jungmun beach. Eastern end right near the steps to the showers. Talk to the guys running the table with the parasailing. 30k for 2hrs. Various boards. Had a few decent sets out there. There was maybe 8 people out on a Saturday. Friday was much quieter as well. .at least out in the surf. |

| I went last weekend, there were no shops but there were some "surfers" hiring out boards. They wanted 50k to rent a board for the day or 40k for 2 hours. I tried explaining to them why those prices were ridiculous considering where we were and the quality of the waves but they wouldn't budge on the price. It annoyed me a bit tbh!! |
