So, I'm only a fair weather follower of the English Premier League. I LOVE football, but am not from England,s o tend to vacillate some what when it comes to support. Lately, I have been supporting Sunderland, as they had Roy Keane as manager and a stack of cash. He is one now, but they still have a decent team and a better manager, so I decided to stick with them.

In the pre-season, I have been tempted to switch to Liverpool. An eminently likable manager, a big name signing and a few solid signings, plus it looks like they will be taken over by a money bags, far east consortium.

I've always liked West Ham. Half of the current England team are alumni, plus, implausibly, they are from the East of London. Now it looks like they are signing a fellow compatriot.

Anymore fair weather fans out there? Who cares about die hards? You are a dime a dozen. I want to hear from semi committed, but thoughtful fans.

I love football but I don't support a club team. Whoever plays the nicest, most aesethically pleasing football is the team I want to win. I apply this to all sports I watch regularly (college football, nfl, nba) except gaelic football when I support the home team (Donegal).

I do tend to follow players I like in some sports.

stick with the Black Cats! Sunderland are a great little side. Just remember to hate on Newcastle at every opportunity and you will be doing great.

You can change your wife, your house, your car, but you can never change your team.
