Will a SK prepaid phone recieve calls from South Korea while I am in Thailand? Anybody know anything about this?

All I know from having gone Thailand last week, is that Pay-and-go phones definitely do not work.

Sim cards aren't used and I couldn't even use my phone for the time over there, because everything about the phone was obviously done through satellite focussed in on SK alone.
