Anyone know the limit that you can exchange at the airport?
Won to RMB
Also, I was going to get dollars first at my bank but that would be a bit redundant if I am exchanging at the airport before I leave no? |

The airport forex booths will let you exchange up to 12 million won per transaction with just your passport (at each exchange booth).
The limit arises on your entry into China.
There WAS a currency import limit of 5000 yuan per person in Bank of China notes but you can take up to an additional US$10,000 without declaration.
If you are re-locating there then take as much as you want in US$ and just file the paperwork as you enter China.
If you are going on vacation, take your 5000RMB and the rest as US$ (you won't be taking more than the limits).
