Researchers have discovered that people with greater social relationships are 50 percent more likely to live longer than their socially reclusive counterparts.
In fact, a lack of friends is as damaging as smoking 15 cigarettes a day or being an alcoholic. It's also twice as damaging as obesity and more harmful than not exercising, according to the study. |

This is why we give a shit about helping other people, it has roots in our selfish need to survive longer.
In other news, the sky is indeed blue. |

| If having good relationships with people is good for your health, then my relationship with my co-workers must be bad for my health. You can't get to choose who you work with (unless you're the employer of course). |

| I have never understood why news reporters mix correlation with causation. It's so simple yet always done. |

Speaking of 'social' relationships, is it possible for someone to recommend to me a dating website that relates to my current status here in Cheonan city?
I don't know how to delicately word nor didn't know if it is appropiate to make such a topic here.
I'm only here for 5 months, but being a woman of 35 has its moments of having certain 'needs' met.
Please PM any information. Thanks. |

Poor non-exercising, fat, reclusive, smoking alcoholics must be dead before they're even born. |

| @ Illysook. Why are you such a crank? Getting lonely is part of the process when not in your regular environment. If you have nothing nice to TYPE, then just keep it to yourself . You don't even know me as a human being. SO BACK OFF! |

| I agree they are important for health physically, I just dont like what it does in terms of debits and slowed growth financially. |
