|
|
Im heading to Shanghai soon and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just roam with SK Telecom or rent one in Mao Land. I have never used a cell while traveling before but will be expecting some important calls during my trip. Any ideas? Also I have quite gotten used to being connected everywhere on this Galaxy thing. Am I going to be able to tap into Chinas networks? Do those networks exist? Any added cost?
Thanks. |

Roaming is expensive. It depends on how much you are planning to use it, but renting will almost definitely be cheaper. Here are the roaming costs for China from SK's website.
Calling within China is 700 won per minute.
Calling abroad is 2,000 won per minute.
Receiving a call is 1,132 won per minute.
Texts are 150 won to send, free to receive.
Data is 4.55 won per kilobyte.
