I think you'll get the best prices by ordering online. You can go to the shops to check out the TVs and find some models that you like, but if you compare prices I think you'll find they are significantly cheaper on the internet. When I bought my TV the internet price was about 300,000 less than the Hi-Mart price.

I think I used auction (it was a while ago). I would recommend using a site like www.bb.co.kr or www.danawa.com to compare prices. It will show you where the current best price is for whichever TV you want to buy.

You can get a better deal if you are decent at bargaining and willing to do a little leg work.

Go to G-Market or some equivalent and get the best possible price for the item that you want. Take that into your local LG or Samsung store and tell them that you want the TV at that cost or cheaper. They will comply, I have personally seen it happen five different times.

If you want to try and squeeze another 10 or 20 bucks off the price go back and forth between LG and Samsung (since they basically sell identical TVs) and let them bid for your business. Again, they will.

similar models at hi-mart/emart/samsung store are 1.5 or closer to 2.
