Hello to one and all. Quite simple, my current contract runs out in October and I'm looking for work with a different school or hagwon. I know I need to do a visa run to Japan. I want to make it a vacation before I start work in Korea, again. How long can I stay in Japan? Anyone have realiable info. I appreciate it. |

Without knowing where you're from, I will say..more than a day, less than... 3 years.
visa waivers vary from country to country. Here in Korea, Canadians get 6 months, while americans only 3 months.
A few countries only get a week or two
The same would apply to Japan and they wouldn't be the same countries.
As a canadian I get 3 months whenever I go there. |

If you are from one of the countries who quality for an E2 as an English teacher in Korea then you will get a 90 day stamp on arrival in Japan (but you may be asked for proof of outward bound passage)
If you have a ticket (korea-japan-korea) then you will have no problems getting a 90 day on arrival stamp.
