As an F1 fan, I find it funny that they use duct tape to fix cars in Nascar. Anyway, the level of technological sophistication in Nacar is 3 on a 1 to 100 scale, and Im talking about the cars. I will take your advice and feel free not topost anything negative, and wont say what the level of sophistication among its fans is. |

frick tokki.....
why did you start?
i just ask a simple question and you start posting crap...and you have no idea what you're talking about.
technologial sophistication
what the he11 are you talking about? there are millions and millions of dollars spent in R&D by all the teams.
true....a good majority of the fans are rednecks. However, there are also a bunch educated individuals out there who appreciate the sport.
that's the 1 big problem. many people start judging the sport based on the fans. (and you're in that group) |

Im talking relative to Formula 1, which is the pinnacle or technology in motor sport. Ive never been able to accept NASCAR,perhaps Im an F1 snob, but how does Daytona compare to Monaco anyway? Theres nothing in Daytona but a stupid trach with left turns only. Who wants to go to Daytona anyway? You go there to get drunk or to a nascaaaaaaa race. Anyway,NASCAR is beneath F1. |

See...there you go again. You keep running your mouth when you have no idea what you're talking about. I've been to Daytona twice.(FL native) There are plenty of people there that are not boozing it up. Don't start talking about drinking at sporting events. A lot of alcohol is consumed at all sporting events. You're sterotyping. |

In the summer AFN will show plenty of NECKCAR.
I find F1 and Indy Car (IRL and CART) more exciting than NECKCAR the technology is amazing in those cars. I've been to Indy several times and had pit and garage passes albeit it was a long time ago, to see how those cars run and to be so close to them when they were going 210 mph was something I'll never forget.
BTW I think CART was supposed to have a race in Seoul this fall, now that they went into bankruptcy does anybody know if that race is still on.
I do wish I could get F1, its the only thing that Star Sports was good for and my cable doesn't carry it |
