This beer, Inedit, is sponsored by Ferran Adria who is a really famous chef these days. Sadly the beer seems to be mediocre. I saw it tonight and reading the label description made it seem very fishy (along with the price tag). So, although I'm a beer nut, I'm really glad I didn't buy this--it's basically a wheat-saison beer. Nothing you couldn't get in Denmark for like 3 euros. |

My policy is to never buy anything at a department store in Korea unless:
1) I really want it
2) I can't buy it anywhere else |

Well, hopefully some Korean will buy it to impress their friends, like it because pretty much anything is better than Cass/Hite/OB, and then spawn a market. It will still likely be overpriced.
Me, I'll just keep making friends with pilots and people who go home a lot that can bring me a bottle of Le fin Du Monde, Maudite, Schlaffly triple, or Ommegaan. A bottel a month and I'm OK. Getting to fat to fill the gaps with crap beer. |

The high-end department stores are great to look around (except when the salespeople hound you with creepy friendliness), but after I saw a coffee grinder at Hyundai Dept. Store in Apgujeong marked at 70,000 won that's sold for 34,000 won at a small cafe in Hongdae I frequent, I decided to always look elsewhere first before going to a department store (and yes, it was the exact same coffee grinder, more than 50% less). |
