|

Hello, about a month ago I moved to South Korea and just like anyone else who left they're entire family and friends back in the states, I'd like to call them. Well my husband took me to get a cell phone off of post and I had already had a Worldwide PrePaid Phone Card tucked away in my suitcase that I had purchased right before getting on the plane. The only problem I'm seeming to have with it is that when I dial the 1 800 number to begin using my calling card, I'm greeted with a Korean woman's voice recording that's listing off all of my options and so far I haven't been able to tell if there is a "for English press such and such". I went all through this new phone of mine and even enabled the English feature in the tools section of the phone, yet still, the calling card menu is not at all in English. Help? |

try this:
Add the US country code to the phone number, so it would look like:
001+800-622-8765 (example)
However! I thought that those prepaid cards were intended to be used from your US phone, which, if it is at&t, will not work here in Korea. So, you may be SOL.
There is a bright side however. Every convenience store / newspaper stand sells cheap phone cards.
Even cheaper is skype if you have an internet connection. |

Yeah, I had skimmed the AT&T website that was listed on the back of the card and I was just hoping maybe that wasn't the case. Well I guess now I just own a 30 dollar calling card. Bleh. But I'll still try your suggestion of course! Thank you so much! |
