thanks Fonz but i'm not a fan of downloading games. been there, done that.
With all the compatability problems over here i'd rather have the original in my hand.
oh and yeah.. i'm PC game hunting. |

Hunting? Bag this baby if you come across it-
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/farcry/
It plays like a cross between Ghost Recon and Half-Life. The graphics are mind blowing and the system requirements are steep. |

Find someone who can get you on base...
I seriously had a HARD time finding the English versions of some awesome games.
If you are a die hard game buyer, order off the internet.
Here is another problem you might encounter:
English versions of games DONT work on hangul windows and vice versa.
If you only have English windows this is going to present some challenges to you.
I bought Baldur's Gate 2 at Technomart and had to run hangul windows on one of my systems to use it...it wouldnt work on English windows. |

Most games do work on English Windows (XP) However you will get confused if you are not familar with the interface ie. unreadable characters.
For instance I bought Condition Zero in Korean. I installed it and characters were all jumbled. Solution...Install Steam off the internet and play CZ using it. Everything in English Voila! |

I'd also suggest asking a family member to buy it, take it outta the box and just mail you the cd/manuel. Its much cheaper and no duty on it either.
I did this once, I was dying for a game, but 40bux shipping for a game is NUTS. So I had my brother buy it and take it out of the box and mail it to me. |

Turn on unicode support for Asian languages (I think that's what it is called). Then Asian games will stop tossing up trash and instead show Asian letters properly. |
