I ordered the FBI check.

It will be mailed to me in Korea.

Then, I must get an apostile from US State Dept.

Can the State Dept. then mail it to me in Korea, or is that a no-no.

That is, do I need to have the State Dept. mail it to a friend in the US, who then will mail it to me?

FYI, my immigration office said this week it will NOT accept affidavits from the US Embassy for the FBI check or the degree verification. I told them my degree had already been verified by Korean Ed. Assoc. and was in their database, and the kindly officer said, "Bring me a new one."

When you send something to the Apostille, you include a self-addressed stamped envelope...so it seems to me that if you include an envelope back to Korea, then it would get to you.

Just my guess.
