LOL....
passport sized photos for what?
If you just need them for immigration or a visa application then the photomat machines or any place with a kodak or fuji sign or your local e-mart, lotte-mart, home-plus, etc. will be fine.
If you actually need them for a passport then the sizes and photo specifics are country specific AND there may be other requirements (like photographer information) that needs to be put on them.

In addition to photo booths, you can also get portrait photos (for immigration or other ID tags and such) made up in 15minutes at any place the develops photos. You just pop in when they aren't busy and they'll take your photo with a nice background and lighting, play with it in Corel Draw to arrange 6 or 8 of them on a single 10x15cm photo and print it out for you.
Photo booths are faster and probably a bit cheaper and immigration doesn't seem to have any problems with them. |

Most visa/immigration offices have such services. And even cheaper than the photo booths. It's just like America except the guys aren't taking your picture in the street. |

There used to be a photo studio on every street corner a few years ago. They've mostly vanished. If you get to seoul take a walk around chungmuro. There's a few there. If you have any facial scars or blemishes they will airbrush them out if U want.
Some of the supermarkets and department stores still have them though.
The photo booths are normally wrecked. I mean they're sweltering at this time of year and the backgrounds are covered in grafitti or dirt. |

Lol, i went to one of those places a few years ago.
I didnt ask for any changes to my photo, but lo and behold, when i came back to fetch them, they whitened my face, changed my eyes from blue to black, cut my hair, removed my undershirt and changed my shirt color! Go team Photoshop. It didnt even look like me when they finished. |
