How many recruiters/companies did it take to find a job? With the influx of new applicants for the 2010 year, just wanted to know the average number of recruiters used? Im up to about 5 and counting...

P.S.

I learned the hard way using 2 recruiter for a PS position, woed form the wise Use only 1 if your going the PS route. Your app will be kicked out.

So if you missed with EPIK, try again with GEPIK, CEPIK, etc.

There are many different routes to a PS including one-off hires by the schools through recruiters.

I just had a recruiter email me a public school application for the Gyeongsangnam province. There's still some time.

I must have used at least 15, but I was being very picky. I'd say maybe 10 called me back, 5 found acceptable jobs, and 2 ended up giving me contracts that I liked. This was over about 3 months.

But again, that's only cause I was being very specific in my search. Last year I just used one.

I talked briefly to several recruiters but once I decided to just go the hogwan route I stuck with one. Got a contract to my liking from my first and only phone interview.

When you're being picky, yeah, go for a few recruiters at a time. I'm pretty much set on going to Gyeonggi-do, so I've gone through at least 20. I've finally found one that got me a job in Suwon, but now I'm panicking because even though he said the school wants me, he hasn't sent me the contract yet and it's been at least two days since his last contact. Am I being paranoid? Maybe, it's been three months since I've been job hunting. It makes you feel inadequate and persistence sometimes doesn't get you anywhere. Most of the recruiters that I applied with didn't even contact me back, so you might have to contact more than a few recruiters.
