I want to get some insurance coverage for the flight and 1st month of my stay in Korea before I get my ARC and Health Insurance over there. I'm having trouble with this though, since all of the Travel Insurance reps. don't have anything that covers my situation. They want to see a return ticket and to insure me for the entire duration of my trip (they can't do partial trip coverage). I'm running out of ideas. Anyone have any experience with this?

www.worldnomads.com is my choice for travel insurance, and you can extend their coverage if you need to.

Thanks, that seems to meet my criteria only it's really expensive. I guess that's what you get for flexibility but still... are there any other options?

World Nomads are good. I have expatriate health insurance through TIC. Not sure if they do one-month policies, but worth checking out.

Try your bank, too, if you haven't already tried.

Thanks to the both of you. I decided to go with TIC. They had no problem with me not having a return ticket or staying in Korea after the end of the policy and the price was very reasonable.
