I am looking to purchase two pairs of size 12 mens dress shoes (one pair black and the other pair brown).

Where?? - (people have told me Itaewon) but what shop? has large mens dress shoes for sale.

I don't live near Itaewon - so if someone knows some other store somewhere in Seoul that sells mens large dress shoes - please do post.

Sorry, just having some fun with your original wording.

As it happens I bought new shoes today. But it seems I'm totally average-sized when it comes to fitting Korean shoes & clothes. Display items are generally my size. Lucky me.

I'm sure someone will chime in soon with practical information for you. Best luck.

Try Rockport in Itaewon and you may get lucky. I'm a girl with size 10 feet and I'm in the same situation as you except I go for heels. Wink
Years ago I found out that the Korean brand Soda, sold in department stores, will measure your feet and custom make a pair for you. I never did it because I'm so picky about shoes and I've got really narrow feet. Apparently, you pay for them when you place the order and can't return or exchange if you aren't happy.

I have your size and I say: buy from back home! pay extra for shipping and duties! it's worth it. Years upon years of looking and never being satisfied with such a large size shoe hereabouts, even custom made!

rockport store is HUGELY expensive 200-300k for a pair of shoes

there are some stores in itaewon that carry that size (i'm a size 12) its truly hit or miss

best bet is to order from home have them sent to a us address have the person there take them out of their box and send them here marked USED, cost is about US$40 for global priority, i do this for my running shoes with no problems

You can buy size 12s from many stores now.

Don't get caught up in the whole 'they wont have my size' mindset. I wear a 12 and have been presently surprised that many stores (even some of my local street stores in Nowon) have had something that fits. Just get in there and try a bunch of stuff on, some of it will fit.

I wear American size 15 or 16, and have a lot of trouble finding footwear. There is a place in Itaewon called "Big Size" that sells dress shoes that fit me. The majority of them are made in Korea, and I imagine if they don't have a size in the model that interests you, you could get a new pair made. The sole isn't the best, but I'm quite happy with the two pairs I have bought from them. Prices are around 100,000 to 125,000 won per pair for what I have purchased.

There are also a few other stores that carry larger shoes, but the brand stores such as Adidias, Nike and whathaveyou have never had a size larger than 13 when I asked.

Good luck!

Could you tell what side of the street "big size" is on (Hamilton hotel side, or Nashville side?)

also - perhaps what stores it is next to - or inbetween?

thanks - sounds like a good shop.

It's on the Nashville side, but as for exactly where it is, I can't tell you. I don't spend that much time in Itaewon. It isn't very big, and if I remember correctly the words 'Big Size' are in red on a white background. there are several other shoe stores on that side of the street as well, and with some searching and asking you might find something that suits you.

Good luck, and happy hunting!

I found a good pair of dress shoes in a department store, though I'm only a 10 1/2-11 western size. Someone said that some of the E-Marts have big and tall shops, but I have yet to find one.

Emart in Sanbon has a limited big and tall section, it's mostly adjosshi stuff though.

OP, try putting 왕발 into gmarket. This was the first result I found:
