Hi guys,
I've been doing some research, but I can't find where I can buy the ferry and Japan rail pass combo. I plan to leave from Busan during the Chuseok season. I want to buy tickets so please help. I also I don't need the KTX pass just the Japan rail pass with a ferry round trip ticket. Thanks.

Try here.

Hongik Travel Agency. Follow the instructions on the site and you can get:

Roundtrip KTX Seoul-Busan
Roundtrip Beetle Ferry Busan-Fukuoka
1 Day Japan Rail pass(can't remember now, but think its for Kyungju region)

for 216,000(as of 4 days ago)

A good price, but sometimes flights are cheaper.

And there seem to be other kinds of joint tickets (with longer rail passes in Japan), but I'm not sure how to get them.

Hongik seems to be the only travel agency licensed to provide this ticket. They are a bit rude, but can't beat that deal if you're takin the Ferry and originating in Seoul.

(I'm headin out on the Ferry tomorrow morning)

If you are just staying in Kyushu, don't rule out buses instead of trains. much cheaper and they have good timetables. i travelled around kyushu for two weeks using only buses. seats were always available even at the last minute and the journeys were very comfortable.

Kyushu is really nice too. Especially if you are down with hot springs.
