I'm looking to take a Korean language exam perhaps 12 months down the line, but I'm struggling to get clear info on where and when I can take one and how I can register. I'm based in Seoul.

I'm also not sure of the difference between TOPIK and KPT.

Any pointers?

Thanks.

Test date and registration information for the TOPIK is found on their website.

http://www.topik.or.kr/

I would post your question again in the Korean language sticky to get better responses about TOPIK vs. KPT.
