i've got to extend/renew my E2 visa for about 5 months. i was just told to visit immigration before my visa expires, but does anyone know the procedure exactly? i'm one of the SMOE 17-month (12 month and 5 month contracts) contracted teachers. |

Assuming you are doing this BEFORE Sept. 1.
contract with end date clearly shown
ARC
passport
application
fee (30k won)
Copy of the schools registration
letter of guarantor form (from the school)
If you do it after Sept 1 you will also have to add a k-consulate certified COPY of your degree or a KCNU certification of your degree.

I'm in a similar boat a 7 and 12 month. Apparently I'm not allowed to extend my my visa/arc until 3 months before it expires (in January), and I've heard that the procedure is likely to change, as it stands now you can renew by simply taking a copy of the school certificate, a copy of your contract, your passport and ARC card to immigration and filling out the form for extension of sojourn (sp?). |
