I live in this nice building...and I notice that people leave there garbage in the hallways and or stairway? I just moved in about a week ago and I cant seem to find the garbage chute...am I suppose to leave my trash in the hallway?  |

Most buildings don't have garbage chutes. You bag it and take it outside. There should be a designated area. |

No, I've seen this before too, and even tried leaving my trash in the hallway, and the building maintaince people politely told me (or at least that's what I think they were saying) not to do this. I think what was going on was people were 'temporarily' putting trash and recyclables in the hallway and then at their convenience taking it down stairs. Probably to avoid clutter and smell in their apartments. |
