I need to get hooked up with internet and possibly TV service next week. Anybody recommend a good provider? I know of SK and KT but am unsure of their prices and quality. Perusing their sites in English is of little help. Service will be set up in Bundang. Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

For Internet, Qook is the way to go. For TV, well, that depends on what you watch. If you like watching TV and need the most channels and what not, go for Skylife. |

I used Qook and it was very good. I changed to LG U+ and the internet speed is the same. I also get 70+ plus TV channels which I never watch but it keeps the missus quiet.
However, be warned; LG Internet has a "Clean Web" feature installed by default. So, if you fancy a quick one-handed wrestle with your self while your peruse your preferred smut portals, the website in question is immediately blocked and big banner pops up with your IP address as if to say, "Planning a sly tug, eh?"
This site filter can be removed if you call the helpline, so it's not all bad. |

Thanks for the info. Both me and the Mrs. are waygooken so we're mostly looking for English channels.
I swear a few years ago I was paying 14,000 a month for internet service from some little known company. I can't find anything close to that nowadays.
CJ1976, thanks for the info. I wonder, how does one say "Planning a sly tug, eh?" in Korean? |

Could you explain with a few details why Qook is so good please?
I'm setting up wireless for my apt next month, so as a KT phone customer (only pay as you go tho), they were my automatic choice anyhow, but it would be good to know the benefits over other companies or what it is that you like about them. |

Qook used to be KT Megapass, which was reputed to have the fastest connection. I've used it for more than three years and I'm satisfied. |

When I enquired about that service with the LG sales desk nearby, I got the "We don't sell to foreigners." Did you get that crud from them? |

I didn't get any of that mainly because we couldn't understand each other on the phone. I asked them if anyone spoke English, they said, "Yes, we'll call you back."
They didn't call me back, so my fairer half called and did the negotiating. We ended up getting a 3 year contract at around 33,000 pm, which includes internet and TV. Not much in the way of English speaking channels, but there is an on-demand movie and TV service, which you pay a small fee to use.
They also gave us 180,000 won Homeplus vouchers as a gift, which is about the same cost as the cancellation fee. I guess I'm one of the suckers born every minute. |
