I have a high-end ukulele I want to sell. It is barely used, I don't even know how to play it. It honestly has not even played an entire song. It was given to me in exchange for advertising space for my company a few years ago. I had plans to learn, but never got around to it, and now I just want to sell it and use the funds to take a trip somewhere.

It is a G-String (Made in Hawaii) brand ukulele. It is a C1 Sun Concert.

The price tag at the shop was $1,350 USD at the time. I'm trying to get the same, a little less, or maybe even more for it, since an imported ukulele like this, I'm guessing, sells for much more here.

Anyone know of any ukulele clubs in Seoul or Departments of Music I can post flyers, or a musical instrument auction site?

I know a place, how about the buy/sell forum? I'm sure loads of people are just waiting to buy a $1350 G string ukulele.

Sorry I had to. You could PM poster "Harpeau" he could probably tell you where to go to get rid of it.

Not sure why this post is so amusing. Of course I know "loads" of people aren't looking for a $1,350 ukulele, which is why I made a post asking about ukulele clubs and university departments of music in the first place.

Thanks for the tip on the BUY/SELL forum, I didn't even know there was one on here, my post was moved from General Discussion.

There is a thread on ukuleles here and apparently there are stores selling them for up to 3,000,000 krw in Seoul and clubs, lessons, forums and everything.

If I don't sell it here, I'm thinking of flying to Japan to sell it, where ukulele playing is more popular and where I can most likely get a better price.

There is the musical instrument street by Tapgol park in Seoul, you could try going to a few of the shops and asking around. I'm sure they would know.

Why not try to find Korean ukulele clubs and post an ad with them?

Nakwon Sangga is your best bet. In Insadong, next to the touristy street on stilts above the road. That's the only place I've ever seen a (heehee!) high end uke in Korea.
