Just posting this here due to lack of response here:

Has anyone been able to get their hagwon to file the individual year-end tax settlement on their behalf when the hagwon wouldn't otherwise have done so?
I'm pretty sure my school has never done this for any teacher but I want them to because: I think they're supposed to; I believe businesses do their taxes in Jan-Feb. while if I submitted it myself it would have to be done in May yet I leave Korea in Feb. ...and I want my money!
Any news on the potential removal of the 30% non-tax? |

The 30% reduction in taxable income for foreigners has been gone since Jan 1st, 2010. Any income earned in 2010 is taxed at the normal rate without any reduction. It's not coming back. |
