I have a question for all the ladies out there. When you see this in a job posting, does it make you hesitate about applying at a sexist school or does it not bother you? |

I think you're confusing 'sexism' with 'market demand.'
But to answer your question - if the school paid me on time and didn't work me like a slave, then I wouldn't feel the least bit odd about accepting a 'female only' position.
I mean, if you had a master's degree, would you hesitate to apply to elitist schools that required one? |

Well, I would apply to them because they are basing their requirements on a specific skill or area of content which I have additional training and background in. That is a lot different than eliminating half the potential applicants due to their gender. |

So, if you're white, it's ok to go for the whites only jobs? I've been offered those and turned them down. |

Paying late AND working you like a slave.... isn't that the whole reason they WANT a female teaching there? they can treat her like they do the Korean staff... mostly ladies, usually... |

Again, it's all based on market demand. Regardless of how flawed the reasoning might be, white, young American females are who parents want to see as teachers. Thus, school directors are going to make an effort to hire them first. To answer your question, I'm not going to feel bad about something that makes me more marketable than the next person. |

the female-only jobs to seem to be the lowest-paying and more strenuous. |

I'm not asking if you feel bad. I wouldn't feel bad either, because it is not something you can control obviously (unless you are willing to go through some life changing surgery).
I am just asking if it makes any warnings bells go off.
To me, it says a lot about an employer if they place your gender and looks over your skills and experience. |

Of course it does. Still, welcome to the majority of ESL jobs in Asia.
edit: I suppose I should specify "entry level ESL jobs." Obviously, there are schools out that that actually care about qualifications, but in my experience, those tend to be universities, international schools, etc. |
