do 6 month contracts exist? do you know anybody with one? what are the usual terms of the contract. i have a friend who's interested in coming, but only for 6 months.

I've seen 6 month contracts posted on Dave's before.
The onese I saw said the person had to pay their own ticket here and bad and also pay for their visa and no severance bonus.
I think these contracts are really for people already here in korea
They don't seem beneficial to others
Just take a year contract and leave after six month  |

| yes some companies do, YBM ECC offers them, not very many companies do it though, you have to pay your way back though i think, check with an indiv. company would be your best bet. www.ybmecc.co.kr |

P.M. me. I work for a company that will hire teachers for 6 months.
2 M won, one way airfare at the end of the contract. no severance pay. |

| I think 6 months is the ideal length of a hagwon contract here. After that, I find I start to run out of new ideas, games and activities, and the class settles into a rut, and gets restless. I don't mind year contracts but it'd be nice to change all your classes and schedule at the 6 month mark. |
