hey guys i'm new to Korea and looking to get out of here for the week off we have in Sept. next month. Does anyone has some stellar ideas for a 5 night, 6 day vacation somewhere?
We were thinking hitup Beijing and do the great wall and stuff like that i dunno.
suggestions? |

My guess is that you haven't scrolled back through the travel forum at all.
There is TONS of information on just about every destination you can reasonably reach buried in here including bucket loads on China in general and Beijing in particular.
China might be a bit wet .... (isn't there flooding and rain problems along the Yalu river? [border between N.Korea and China that empties into the sea between S.Korea and China]).
Personally I prefer Beijing in the winter (but it can be cold) or spring (before the sandstorms become a problem).
Most places south of the typhoon belt in SE Asia are looking pretty good (and cheap) for Sept get-a-ways.

Wow, first time I've seen that one! Thanks for the Googling tutorial. Taiwan might be a good bet as it's only 2 hours flight and you can get a taste of China without paying $140 for a stupid visa. Hong Kong would be another possibility for this. |

Same here. Just got tix last night. Besides being cheap at $430 the flight times are great. We wanted to go to Singapore but the direct flights were at fooky times. |
