I want to send 20-25kg package back to NZ. When I sent a small package at Christmas from the post office it was quite expensive.
Are the private companies any cheaper? Who has sent large packages overseas? Time is not a problem. |

Hey there,
I sent about 23kgs to New Zealand via surface post. It cost 76,000 won (v. cheap) at the Post Office. Apparently it can take up to three months but when my sister sent a package a month or so earlier, it arrived in two months.
So, yay the post office! Hope this helps.
Bunty. |

Bunty Pontingis right, if you send it SAL, it is a lot cheaper than air. Parcels to Oz take between 6 - 10 weeks but there were never any problems. Parcels to NZ would probably take a comparable amount of time. |

Just recently asked at a local post office about sending a parcel to Australia, and they quoted 20,000 won for 10 kg plus 2,000 won for every additional 5 kg - which is 26,000 won for 25 kg. And yes, they also said it would take 2 months by sea. |
