Just curious, since the smoking poll went up.

I voted #3. I love red wine, but usually have a glass or two and cook with the rest of the bottle. If only they had nice quality half bottles here. I have an occasional amaretto sour or kahlua and milk.

I voted #4

A month ago it would have been 5 for sure but I only go heavy around 2 -3 days a week now, and 4 evenings just around 2 pints of beer or a pint or 2 of soju and coke.

That word is an achronistic term devised by controlling puritans.

I prefer 'person who likes a few drinkies.'

Just realized that my last option never published. It's the first poll I've made, so not sure what I did wrong. I wrote as option 6:

I get <bleep>faced on a regular basis.

The bleep was my own doing, so it wasn't an edit. Hmmm.

At the moment, very rarely.

I made some homemade alcohol recently (grape juice, strawberry jam, honey, sugar and of course yeast) but it gave me a splitting headache. Before that, I hadn't drunk for 7 weeks. And before that, I hadn't drunk for three months.

In Korea, I drank three times per week. In early 2008, I thought I was becoming an alcoholic, as I drank every day for three months. The more you drink, the more enjoyable alcohol is. If you drink once in a while, the effects are disgusting. And by rarely drinking, it means I've no interest at all in tobacco.

I just looked in the firdge and found: half a bottle of toad juice; half a can of Chilsung Cider and a bottle of tomato Juice.

Bloody Mary Korea style!

A perfect prelude ot my 1.6 pitcher of MAX.

Living in Jeolla Namdo has done this to me. It's so darned boring. I never got sloshed alone before (well maybe once or twice amonth but not 5 times a week.)

I imagine a future LDJS, working in Seoul again, his act cleaned up, going out and meeting women he can talk to and relate to again, doing open stage shows (my Lago monologue from Othello is coming on wondefuly,) Eating healthy, working out. Rising up to the potential he knows he has!

Well, one can dream Smile

The survey is a little flawed as it's incorporating frequency and quantity. Perhaps quantity should have been another survey in which to establish if peeps are binge drinking, or using alcohol in an orderly manner.

In summer, maybe 4 times a week, with >>>>3 on a Saturday night, winters, maybe twice a week with several consumed on the Saturday night.

Overwhelming scientific evidence from HUNDREDS of studies show that alcohol in moderation (1 or 2 drinks a day on average) is positively correlated with heart health and less cardiovascular problems, in fact, those who drink moderately have less heart disease and strokes than those who don't drink alcohol at all! Of course, the binge drinkers and regular heavy drinkers fare worst of all. A little alcohol lessens stress, relaxes blood vessels and if it's wine or beer (any undistilled alcohol) then there are other health benefits from other ingredients in those kinds of drinks.

So, a glass of wine or two with my dinner tonight. Cheers! Very Happy Then the cork goes back on the bottle to finish another time. G'night.

Speaking of wine: do you know of anyplace that sells those vacuum stoppers for wine bottles? I hate to waste it, and don't always feel like making soup after I've had my glass or two. I may have to have one sent from home. It kept wine for days after uncorked.

Almost the same as above, between 0-5 a week, depending on the week. Usually 0. I'll often go out with drinkers and just have one.
