| Lately I can't get on the same servers I used to because of the ludicrous ping to west coast usa. My mate in Japan gets pings in the 150-200 range. From Korea it seems to be 350 lately. |

Depends on the game.
In LotRO I get 190 - 220 ping.
WoW I got 150ish.
Aion I got around 250.
Run this script if you haven't already and it will knock 10-25% off your ping:

Works for any online game. Been using it for years. Results may vary. |

| Same here. I thought it was because I put a router in for my new smartphone. Then the game slowed down quite a bit. |

overseas pings, no matter where you are in the world generally suck.
If you look, you'll see that Japan has a lot more connections that Korea set up. in addition, it looks like a lot of Korea's connections have to go through Japan which will increase the ping. |
