What exactly are my options in dealing with a school that is paying severance late? Today was the last day of work for 2 of is, and the owner, at the end of the day, springs upon us that we would not be getting our severance, as well as last month's pay, until next month.

I want to work this out with as few problems as possible, but need the money as quickly as possible. The Labor Board told me they have 14 days until after the contract ends to make payment. Do I just have to wait until this time?

Thanks!

Yes. After 14 days you can file a claim for unpaid wages at the labor board. There is nothing you can do until then - other than trying to reason with your employer (good luck with that) - except wait to file a claim.
